Corlay Gite - Brittany

Within easy reach of Corlay, you'll find the beautiful beaches of Northern Brittany, Lake Guerledan with its sailing, fishing and beach facilities and plenty of other things to do for those that enjoy active holidays. Why not try the excellent heated open air swimming pool at St Nicholas du Pelem with its cascades, water slides, massage points etc.

The fine sandy beaches and dramatic coastlines of  North Brittany are only 40 kilometres away and can be reached within 30 minutes.

You can enjoy a visit to one of the many small islands that litter the Brittany coastline or a trip to one of many of the attractive towns in the area (St Malo, Quimper, Cancale) or one of the many traditional festivals that take place during the holiday season.

16 kilometres away you will find Lake Guerledan which is an important tourist attraction and boasts beaches and various water sports.

Nearby, you can discover the 8,000 acre Quénécan Forest and the "site du Bon Repos" (a 12th century abbey in the process of being restored and situated on the banks of the picturesque Nantes - Brest Canal).

Then there is Quintin, a town of charm and character with its chateau, lake, old wash house and swimming pool.

The area has a number of good restaurants, many of them specialising in the traditional Breton crepes.

Why not try the "La Forge" creperie approximately 3 kms from Corlay? Both the food and the welcome there are excellent. The food tastes even better when eaten on the pretty terrace on a warm summer's evening.

Then there's "Le Pelinec" not far from Montohan, renowned for the excellence of its cuisine and nestling on the banks of a small lake. You can work off your meal with an enjoyable walk along the lake or hire a pedalo.
